another week has come and gone and CHINESE NEW YEAR just started! :)
happy chinese new year and gong xi fa cai to everyone! :D
there was absolutely no CNY celebrations here at binghamton.. which was really kinda depressing. not being with my family was even more depressing :( but well, we found ways to entertain ourselves over the 3-day weekend anyways :P the last 3 days have pretty much just flown by! i had a genetics test on friday morning.. i really hope i did well :/ but then i was freeeee the whole weekend!
in the spirit of chinese new year, a whole bunch of us decided to try out this new buffet place near campus.. buffet star restaurant. asian cuisine, of course :) i thought the food was pretty decent, and for 11bucks, pretty reasonable too! the only annoying part was having to line up for food.. who lines up for buffets?! when we got back it was a round of cranium, then apples to apples and finally a game of KENT! its this really fun card game where you try to get 4-of-a-kind and then get your partner to say "kent" by signals or signs that you figure out beforehand. the other team has to do the same and you can try to intercept signals and then win more points for your team.. its awesome! :D
last weekend was also the NBA all-star weekend and with kelvin and wyman being so crazy over basketball, me and sherry ended up watching too.. and i'll admit it was pretty fun :) but still no match for premier league! :D we watched this movie, 500 days of summer.. an interesting movie. you can definitely empathize with the main character :P there was also a couple of rounds of mario star party.. which made me realize just how addictive video games are! :O its crazyyy!
we just got back from the theater. we were contemplating dear john and valentine's day.. but they had terrible reviews on rottentomatoes so we decided it wasnt worth it. wolfman was another option, but we decided on this:
overall, i found it an enjoyable movie :) but then again, maybe its just because i like greek mythology and cute guys :) whee!
